Killer Heels

Don’t you just love shoes. I adore them. I literally have hundreds of pairs in different colours...shapes and styles. Shoes are my vice. I can’t go out shopping and not come back with a pair of shoes. However today I had a fight with my shoes...It all started a few weeks ago when I saw a woman in the street wearing 6 inch heels in the rain. I remember being in awe of this woman, the sheer audacity and bravery to wear such killer heels like non I’ve seen before...Especially during the day time. Obviously women wear heels during the day time but these heels in particular were made for a night out in the town. Anyways cutting the long story short, it made me realise I don’t actually wear heels unless I’m out partying. So for some absurd reason or another I decided to wear a pair of heels to run a few errands in my local high street today...what possessed me to do so I will never know. At first they were perfectly fine...not terribly comfortable but what heels are? So I carried on further into my journey...and that’s when it began...after leading me into a false pretence the pain slowly started creeping in. That’s not the worst...the worst is still to come. Braving the now sharp and constant pain in my feet I hurried along slightly limping. AND that’s when it happened!!! Before I had time to react my legs stopped working...probably because of the unbearable pain in my feet...my legs just suddenly gave way without any prior warning or indication!!! It’s like my mind didn’t want to register the fact that I was falling...I was about to end up on the pavement floor...and indeed that is where I ended up...smack down  right in the middle of the pavement floor. Oh the embarrassment. WHY did you do it shoes? Why did you have to be soo evil...why ruin our relationship? And that’s how I came about to having a fight with my shoes. I’m currently not on speaking terms with that particular shoe...that pair have been relegated to the back of the shelf for now...what a shame they were such pretty shoes.
